Lousy

Have you ever wondered what happens to your empty printer cartridges after you’ve recycled them? Lousy are a Mebourne-based business working to reimagine your printer waste. Not only do they help protect the planet, but they also encourage more sustainable creative practices. In 2017 founders and artists, Mike Eleven and Oli Ruskidd, decided to combine their love of art and community to draw attention to the tonnes of ‘waste ink’ in the world and lack of a sustainable solution. Working under Cartridges 4 Planet Ark, who have set up collection boxes all over Australia, they recycle all types of inkjet printer cartridges. Once collected they are transported to  inkfor processing. The cartridges are then crushed down and filtered in order to recycle the plastics and all the remaining ink.
