GENI Toys began in 1988 in a preschool classroom in Hyogo, Japan, with a simple belief: children learn best through play.

Rather than designing toys in isolation, GENI works alongside early childhood educators and children. Each idea is developed, tested and refined in a real classroom, helping create toys that are not only fun to play with, but thoughtfully designed to support children's natural development.

The name GENI reflects this philosophy. It draws on words meaning genius, authentic, honest and genuine. A fitting expression of GENI's desire to help children discover their own abilities through simple, carefully considered toys.
