Win tickets to see the Regenerating Australia film in Brisbane!

Regenerating Australia Regenerating Australia is the latest film on the block by the incredible Damon Gameau, an award-winning director for the films 2040 and That Sugar Film. 2040 made a big splash in not only sustainability-focused communities but across all demographics. The optimistic approach towards climate change and bettering our relationship with the planet was a refreshing approach that struck a chord with many people. Now, Damon is onto his next film bound to inspire, this time with a focus on Australia. The short film 'Regenerating Australia' is based on a four-month interviewing process with a diverse group of Australians encouraged to share their hopes and dreams for the country's future. The film features Kerry O'Brien, Sandra Sully, Gorgi Coghlan, Tim Flannery, Larissa Behrendt, David Pocock and other household names. Set on New Year's Eve of 2029, the film imitates a news bulletin looking back over the decade 'that could be'. The film encourages us to think about what Australia could achieve in 10 years to transition to a more fair, clean and regenerative economy while considering First Nations' wisdom, a sense of community, and Australia's unique natural environment. On top of the release of this film, WWF-Australia is donating $2 million in seed funding as a part of a 'Innovate to Regenerate' challenge to help local communities, innovators, and experts "bring the film to life". You can check out the trailer below or here. Damon Gameau says of the film, “After a traumatic two years for many Australians, this film and these special event screenings provide some much-needed inspiration and optimism for what could be achieved in the years ahead. It will be an uplifting night of music, film and robust conversation about the future of this country.” The film is currently undergoing a nationwide cinema tour. All of the film screenings will be followed by a Q&A with Damon Gameau, so you will have the opportunity to ask all of those pressing queries. So... with Brisbane dates fast approaching, here at Biome, we are running a competition for you to win tickets! The film-touring event is a not-for-profit event, and all of the ticker revenue will go towards supporting the First Nations speakers and local artists who participate in the event.
