How to Make a DIY Pantry Bug Buster & Scented Drawer Sachet

    Ingredients

    • ¼ cup white rice (white rice will absorb the essential oils more effectively)
    • ¼ cup organic dried herbs, such as dried rose petals, chamomile or lavender flowers.
    • 20 drops essential oils of choice, below we list some suggestions depending on use

You will also need a glass bowl, scissors, twine, a tag, and garni bags with a drawstring or a piece of breathable fabric like muslin cloth that you can turn into a pouch.

    Method:

    1. Add the white rice, dried herbs and essential oils to the glass bowl and mix well to combine.
    2. Scoop the filling into your drawstring bags and close. Alternatively, place your filling into the centre of your piece of fabric, gather the sides and tie with twine.
    3. Tie a tag on if desired.
    4. Leave to rest for at least 12 hours, allowing the essential oils to dry before placing with your clothes or linen.

    How To Use

Hang your pantry bug buster and scented drawer sachet in wardrobes, place in between sheets and towels in your linen cupboard, or on your kitchen pantry shelves where desired.

    Important notes

Before placing in your pantry, wardrobe, cupboards or drawers, first dispose of any infested food and clean the contamination source by vacuuming and wiping the area clean with vinegar and eucalyptus essential oil.

Place all open food in airtight containers.

For best shelf life, keep away from heat, sunlight and moisture.

The scent will fade over time, but to refresh simply open the bag, add more essential oils, shake, close up and reuse.
