  • TAKE ACTION ON UN SDG GOAL 1 – NO POVERTY

Support UN SDG 1 by helping Action on Poverty end poverty in all its forms everywhere.

  • More than 700 million people, or 10 per cent of the world population, live in extreme poverty and struggle to fulfil the most basic needs like health, education, and access to water and sanitation. In sub-Saharan Africa, most people live on less than $1.90 a day.

Action on Poverty is a secular, independent, non-government organisation that helps vulnerable communities in Africa, Asia and the Pacific break the cycle of entrenched poverty by working with them to develop long-term sustainable solutions.

They take a rights-based approach to poverty reduction by working to address the underlying causes of poverty, not just its effects. This approach ensures that the benefits of development are shared equally, especially among vulnerable groups such as women and ethnic minorities.

  • TAKE ACTION ON UN SDG GOAL 2 – ZERO HUNGER

Support UN SDG 2 by helping The Hunger Project end hunger.

  • Did you know that there are still 690 million people - one in ten people on Earth - living in hunger? Hunger is not just about food – it’s also about a lack of opportunity, resources and education.

The Hunger Project’s mission is to mobilise communities out of poverty. Through their programs and village-level workshops, The Hunger Project helps communities envision a future of their own making and commit to achieving that vision through education and leadership. Their programs unlock capacity, creativity and leadership so women and men living in rural villages in Africa, India, Bangladesh and Latin America can end their own hunger through sustainable, holistic solutions.

  • TAKE ACTION ON UN SDG GOAL 3 - GOOD HEALTH & WELL-BEING

Support UN SDG 3 by helping Purple House provide dialysis treatment for remote Indigenous people to get them back home so that families and culture can remain strong.

  • Did you know remote Indigenous people in Central Australia are up to 30 times more likely to suffer from kidney disease?

To receive dialysis treatment, families must move off their country and go to Alice Springs or Darwin. When this happens, communities are often left without elder leadership, families are broken and culture is weakened. Patients also suffer from isolation and depression, restricted by a dialysis machine for their foreseeable future.

Purple House is an innovative Indigenous-owned and run health service operating from its base in Alice Springs in the Northern Territory.  Operating 18 remote clinics and a mobile dialysis unit called the Purple Truck, Purple House works to get patients back home.

You can help Purple House continue their wonderful work providing dialysis access to remote Indigenous Australians by donating here or purchasing Bush Balms here.

  • TAKE ACTION ON UN SDG GOAL 4 – QUALITY EDUCATION

Support UN SDG 4 to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for all by donating books to The Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation (ALNF).

  • Sadly, only one in five Indigenous children in very remote communities can read at the minimum standard. ALNF is dedicated to raising language, literacy and numeracy standards in Australia and raises funds to develop, implement and sustain innovative projects for individuals, families and communities. Support ALNF by donating provides new and quality pre-loved books to their Share-A-Book program. All books are sent to Indigenous, refugee and marginalised communities in need of resources.

  • TAKE ACTION ON UN SDG GOAL 5 – GENDER EQUALITY

Support UN SDG 5 to increase gender equality by donating menstrual products to Share the Dignity.

  • Sadly, people around the country are experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic violence and those doing it tough can’t afford the sanitary products they need every month and are often forced to use socks or toilet paper. For some, it’s a choice between food or dignity.

Share the Dignity work on work to ensure everyone is afforded the dignity so many of us take for granted.

When you donate period products to Share The Dignity, you’re donating to a charity that directly supports those in need. You’re giving someone experiencing homelessness or financial crisis the essentials, so they don't need to choose between food and dignity.

Help end period poverty by donating menstrual products to Share the Dignity during their March or August Dignity Drives.

  • TAKE ACTION ON UN SDG GOAL 6 – CLEAN WATER & SANITATION

Support UN SDG 6 by providing safe and clean drinking water for people in need.

  • While substantial progress has been made in increasing access to clean drinking water and sanitation, billions of people—mostly in rural areas—still lack these basic services. Worldwide, one in three people do not have access to safe drinking water, two out of five people do not have a basic hand-washing facility with soap and water, and more than 673 million people still practice open defecation.

WaterAid transforms the lives of the poorest and most marginalised people by improving access to clean water, decent toilets, and good hygiene.

Support WaterAid's efforts to ensure everyone has access to these basic necessities by donating here >

  • TAKE ACTION ON UN SDG GOAL 7 – AFFORDABLE & CLEAN ENERGY
  • Support UN SDG 7 to increase the use and investment of renewable energy in Australia. We asked you to publicly call on some of Australia’s biggest climate polluters, like Woolworths, Telstra and Coles, to commit to using 100% renewable electricity by 2030 by signing the REenergise petition powered by Greenpeace Australia Pacific.

  • TAKE ACTION ON UN SDG GOAL 10

Support UN SDG 12 by reducing food waste in your own home.

  • TAKE ACTION ON UN SDG GOAL 13 – CLIMATE ACTION

Support UN SDG 13 by planting trees through One Tree Planted.

  • According to Swiss university, ETH Zürich, tree planting has mind-blowing potential to tackle our climate crisis. Planting billions of trees is the cheapest and most powerful way to remove two-thirds of all emissions from human activities that remain in the atmosphere today.

The great news is tree planting is a climate change solution that doesn’t require political leaders or large corporate organisations to believe in or take action on. It’s a solution you can act on immediately by planting trees in your backyard or donating to forest restoration organisations like One Tree Planted where you can plant a tree for $1 anywhere in the world.

  • Reduce plastic pollution in in our oceans by participating in Take 3.

  • TAKE ACTION ON UN SDG GOAL 15 – LIFE ON LAND

Support UN SDG 15 and help save koalas!

  • Australian Koala Foundation estimates there are less than 80,000 koalas remaining in Australia today and it could be as low as 43,000. Much of their habitat has already been lost which makes it vitally important to save what is left.
