Our super moisturising coconut shave cream nourishes and protects the skin, while helping you achieve a good, close shave. Unlike conventional shaving cream, there's no toxic foaming agents or hormone disruptors, just simple, natural ingredients. Tips for a Good Shave
Use a good quality reusable safety razor
Shave toward the end of your shower so that your skin and hairs have had time to warm up and soften
In a medium glass jar or jug, whisk together the coconut oil, liquid castile soap, castor oil, glycerine and hot water until well combined. Add the citric acid, cornstarch and essential oil and whisk again until you have a beautiful, rich, creamy consistency.
This recipe makes enough to fill 1 x 250ml disc-cap bottle. You could also put it into a 250ml pump bottle, but we found that a disc-cap bottle is easier to use. Shake well before each use. Pump or pour a small amount of the mixture into your hands and smooth over areas intended for shaving. Shave as you would normally. Note: this homemade shaving cream won't lather that much, but will provide a great lubrication for a close shave. This shave cream works really well for both men and women. You could also use this as a wonderfully nourishing face and body wash. Keep out of direct sunlight and use within 2 months.
