If your hair is looking dull and your scalp is feeling dry, our DIY deep conditioning hair treatment may be just what you need to bring it back to life. Our recipe combines coconut oil to condition, shea butter to moisturise and argan oil to fight fizz and add shine, as well as a special combination of pure essential oils known for their hair strengthening properties.

Our DIY deep conditioning hair treatment is perfect to use each week before shampooing with a shampoo bar, and is particularly great to use after swimming.

Make Your Own DIY Deep Conditioning Hair Treatment

    Ingredients

    Method

    1. Add the coconut oil and shea butter into a glass jug. Place the jug into a saucepan with about 5cm of water in it. Turn heat to medium-low and allow the coconut oil and shea butter to melt.
    2. Remove from heat. Allow the contents in the jug to cool.
    3. When almost solidified, add the argan oil and essential oils. Using a whisk, whip together for 3-5 minutes. You’ll get a creamy texture that’s much easier to apply than melted oil. Your DIY deep conditioning hair treatment is now ready to use.

    How To Use

Comb the hair treatment through clean, dry hair and let sit for 30 minutes. Rinse hair and shampoo as normal.

This recipe makes enough for one application on medium length hair. For long, thick hair, double the quantity.

    Not suitable for storing.
