Properties

Pink clay is a form of kaolin clay and the more iron oxide present, the more pink or red it will appear.  The mineral content of any clay (such as iron, illite, silica, magnesium, selenium, zinc) will differ depending on where the clay is mined.

Applications

Note: never use metal when mixing clay as this takes away some of clay's mineral properties. Use glass, plastic or wooden spoons and bowls instead.

Use

Origin - Australia

Title : Pink Clay is Lovely!
Comment : I have a Buddy pink clay mask powder I am using up before I try this with jojoba as a more eco-friendly mask. I mainly brought this to ADD COLOUR to DIY moisturiser I made as gifts (and for myself!) - The DIY moisturiser with the added pink, was very well received by both my mother-in-law and sister-in-law!!

Title : Amazing
Comment : I genuinely love this product so much. The clay is so cheap compared to other brands, it comes in glass and hence reusable packing, and can be used for so many things. I have used it so far as a face mask (I just added a bit of water) and a face cream. I would recommend this for everyone: it is a zero waste beauty staple.

Title : GREAT DIY
Comment : a bit messy, but cleans up well. I combine it with water, sometimes an oil (rosehip, jojoba) and maybe some teatree and let it sit on my face until it dries. It's nice to do a mask every now and then, so this one allows me to pamper myself cheaply and effectively.
