Rebecca Lim's Tiger Daughter follows the journey of Wen Zhou as she sets out to create her own future, one that is more satisfying than the life her parents expect her to lead. Winning both the 2022 People's Choice and Victorian Premier Literary Awards, Tiger Daughter has moments of unbearable tension and complex characters that will stay with you long after you put the book down.

Features

Wen Zhou is the daughter and only child of Chinese immigrants whose move to Australia has come with some unexpected turbulence. Unhappy with their circumstances, Wen and her friend, Henry Xiao form a plan to sit an entrance exam to a selective high school far from home. But when tragedy strikes, it will take all of Wen's resilience and resourcefulness to get the pair through the storm that follows.

In addition to winning the People's Choice and Victorian Premier Literary awards in 2022, Tiger Daughter was shortlisted for a total of 6 awards from 2021-2022. Rebecca Lim has created a novel that beautifully touches on living as an immigrant, an adolescent and a woman in modern Australia.

'An unforgettable story of family, friendship and finding your voice. I adore this book.' - Nova Weetman, author of 'Secrets we Keep' and 'Sick Bay'
