Seljak Dugong Lime Blanket - Fringe is soft, breathable and lightweight (700g), and is the perfect companion for cool breezes and summertime adventures. The Dugong design shows the creature cruising free under the tropical sun, when nets and destruction of food sources threaten their existence. How it's made:

Seljak Brand uses pre- and post-consumer textiles waste that is recycled in mills in Italy and Lithuania.

The yarn is spun in Italy out of factory floor offcuts. The waste is shredded, combed and spun into a new yarn.

The yarn is then taken to Lithuania for weaving into blankets. The mill we work with in Lithuania is almost a century old and is expert at weaving luxurious woollen blankets. The jacquard looms mean we can weave beautiful, abstract artwork into the blankets

Brand story
Seljak Brand launched in March 2016 and has since worked towards accelerating the transition towards a more circular economy. They work with Australia’s oldest mill in Tasmania and a 92-year-old weaving mill in Lithuania to weave recycled wool blankets that are closed loop. The blankets are made from a minimum of 70% recycled merino or lambswool and a 30% blend of other fibres (mohair, cotton and alpaca) and poly for strength. Wool is a natural fibre that is incredibly hard to replicate – it’s a renewable resource, it is odour and stain resistant, antibacterial, lightweight, breathable and insulating.
