Make your own DIY flower garden tea
Ingredients
- 1 cup dried calendula flowers
- 1 cup dried chamomile flowers
- 1 cup dried rose petals
- 1 cup dried lavender flowers
- 1 thin slice of lemon, halved
- Honey to taste (optional)
Method
- Gently combine flowers in a large glass bowl.
- Grab your jars and pop equal amounts in each. Seal and label.
How to Use
Steep 1 teaspoon of tea per person in a teapot or tea infuser for 3-5 minutes before removing. Sweeten with honey and add a slice of lemon for extra zing. Tip: Get creative and combine flowers, herbs and spices of your choice. Slices of dried apple, ginger root, lemon or orange peel are a nice addition in this blend. Note: Keep tea in an airtight jar out of direct sunlight (in the pantry is ideal) to reserve its colour, flavour and therapeutic benefits. This DIY tea blend was inspired and adapted from Infuse: Herbal Teas to Cleanse, Nourish and Heal by Paula Grainger & Karen Sullivan. You can find this book here >Disclaimer
