This DIY dry shampoo combines oil absorbing powders, and essential oils to compliment your hair type to keep your hair in top condition, even when it's been a while between washes.
Cornstarch is great at absorbing moisture, so it will suck all the excess oil away from your hair. It's also anti-inflammatory, which can help soothe irritated scalps.
Arrowroot is suited to sensitive skin and leaves your scalp soft, which may help combat dandruff through gentle exfoliation.
Bi Carb is antiseptic, a natural deodoriser, helps treat dandruff and balances pH levels, improving irritated skin.
Moroccan Lava Clay is gentle, suitable for all scalp types and ideal for everyday use. Hydrating, and rich in Silica, Magnesium and trace minerals. It isn't drying.Peppermint Oil is antiseptic and a great lice deterrent. It also cools the scalp and leaves it smelling fresh.
Eucalyptus or Lemon Eucalyptus Oil is powerfully antiseptic and a natural deodoriser too.

Ingredients
Light hair version- 2 tbsp Cornstarch
- 2 tbsp Arrowroot
- 1 tbsp Bi Carb
- 10 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil
- 6 drops of Lemon Eucalyptus Essential Oil (or 3 drops of Eucalyptus Oil and 3 drops of Lemon Oil)
- 2 tbsp Cornstarch
- 1 tbsp Arrowroot
- 2 tbsp Cocoa Powder
- 2 tbsp Moroccan Lava Clay
- 1 tbsp Bi Carb
- 6 drops of Lavender Essential Oil
- 6 drops of Rosemary Essential Oil
Method
- Add the essential oils to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined. Use a sieve to add the dry ingredients, for best results.
- Store the powder mix in a small glass jar or reuse an old powder container. We have used a Ball mason jar with a sifter lid.
How To Use
Shake some DIY dry shampoo into the palms of your hands and rub into the roots or oily parts of your hair. Keep your head bent over the bath or shower to avoid making a mess.
Leave in for 2 minutes to give the powder time to absorb excess oil and moisture. Then comb through your hair and style as usual.
Ensure you check your neck, face and clothing before leaving the house and remove any excess visible powder.
