Vegan Black Bath Bomb - DIY Skin Care - Biome Naked Natural Beauty Bar

With our black bath bomb recipe you can take your love of activated charcoal to a whole new level.  These unique little bath bombs contain detoxifying activated charcoal, nourishing castor oil and soothing epsom salts, leaving you feeling cleansed, nourished and relaxed.

It is great for those who have oily or combination skin, acne and blemish prone skin, or those that love to have a bit of fun and try something a little bit different!

While your bath water will turn black, it won’t stain. Just be sure to rinse your bath down as soon as you are done.

    1. In a large glass bowl combine the bi carb, citric acid, epsom salt, cornstarch and activated charcoal. Mix with a wooden spoon and set aside.
    2. Add the castor oil and essential oils and mix together with your hands. Add the water and mix again quickly before it starts to fizz. Keep kneading until your mixture starts to feel smooth and holds together like damp sand.
    3. Split your mixture up into desired portions. Either pack tightly into a bath bomb mould, or hand roll them. Let it set for 1 hour. Remove from the mould and let them dry overnight.

    How To Use

This recipe makes enough for approx. 2 large 250g black bath bombs.

Drop a black bath bomb into your warm bath and watch it fizz. Be warned, your bath water will turn black! Soak for 20-30 minutes. The activated charcoal will stick to your skin and bath however it won’t stain. Rinse your body and your bath down well when done.

Note: These bath bombs contain nourishing castor oil, so take care getting out of your bath as it may be slippery.
