Our festive chamomile and hemp lip balm combines nourishing shea butter, coconut and hemp seed oils, with soothing chamomile flowers, and lip plumping cinnamon and orange essential oils, to nourish, condition and moisturise lips. Hemp oil is one of our favourite DIY skin care products here at Biome, and as of 12 November 2017 it is legal to sell hemp products for consumption too!

When used in a hemp lip balm, hemp oil nourishes, conditions and moisturises the lips, helping to keep them soft and smooth.
DIY Chamomile & Hemp Lip Balm Recipe
Ingredients
Method
- Place the camomile flowers into a medium glass jar. Pour in the hemp seed oil. Seal the jar and let it infuse overnight. Shake occasionally. The next day, strain the infused oil through a fine sieve or nut milk bag into another glass jar or jug. Squeeze out any excess oil. You should be left with about 2 tablespoons.
- Place a separate jug into a saucepan with about 5cm of water in it. Add the wax, shea butter and coconut oil. Turn heat to medium and stir until melted.
- Remove from heat. Add the infused hemp seed oil and essential oils and stir.
- Carefully pour the chamomile and hemp lip balm mixture into a 15ml reusable lip balm containers or lip balm tubes. Allow to cool and set.
How To Use
This recipe will make enough to fill approximately 15 x
15ml reusable lip balm containers. You could fill one 15ml container and store the remainder in a larger glass jar. When you are ready to refill your lip balm container, melt it down, refill and leave to set. For a subtle splash of colour, add 1/2 teaspoon of either
red or
pink clay just before adding the hemp and essential oils. Stir until completely dissolved. Keep in a cool spot. Store out of direct sunlight. Use within 6-9 months.
