Brand story

Pebble Child was born out of an NGO in Bangladesh.

Samantha Morshed started Hathay Bunano in 2004. For about five years she focussed solely on growing the organisation. During this time, she had helped many Bangladeshi women find employment knitting in ethical workplaces that Samantha herself had set up. For this work, Hathay Bunano and Samantha received much recognition, including an MBE and commendations from Bill Clinton.

Wanting to scale the organisation up, Samantha launched Pebble in 2010. This used the same ethical production structure as Hathay, but gave a more tangible brand for consumers to purchase from. To this day, Pebble continues to support workers all over the world.
