Exclusive to Biome, our safety stainless steel straws have a rounded lip on one end to reduce risk of scratching a lip, mouth, or teeth.  'Scratch proof' straws are ideal for those who find the end on a normal stainless steel straws a little harsh. Please note cautions*

The size of a standard plastic drinking straw of 6mm in diameter. 304 grade stainless steel.  Add a cleaning brush for $1.95.

Stainless steel straws have the benefit of not breaking like glass straws and not degrading like bamboo straws. However, you do need to be careful when bringing a metal straw into your mouth as you can hit your teeth or lips and cause a small injury.  The rounded end on these straws helps eliminate that potential harm.  Even if no harm is caused, some people simply do not like the 'sharp' feel of the end of stainless steel straws.

  • Before using, always wash straw inside throughly with a straw cleaning brush.

  • A stainless steel straw is not a toy! Do not let any children use unsupervised. Do not allow children to walk or run with the stainless steel straw.
  • Anyone given a straw should be taught not to bite down on the straw as it may hurt their teeth or mouth. 
  • Do not walk or run with the straw.

45 day returns: If you are not satisfied with a product that you ordered online (*exceptions below), you are welcome to return it to us within 45 days, unused, unworn, and in a pristine saleable condition with the original labels attached, packaging and we will refund your cost of goods - you can either post back to us or return to one of our stores. Items marked 'Final Sale' can not be returned unless faulty.

Standard: Normally our orders leave within 24 hours from Brisbane (Monday - Friday). Orders will arrive in 2 to 7 days depending on destination. Standard Australian shipping is free on orders over $75. Shipping for orders under $75 is $9.95, or $6.95 for delivery to SE Qld postcodes 4000-4299, 4500-4549.

Express: place orders by 10am. Orders generally arrive next day if you are in the Australia Post Next Day Delivery network and subject to Australia Post fulfilling its guarantee. Only available for orders up to 4kg (excludes bulky/heavy items such as Bokashi bins, cleaning products and large size items to areas outside Brisbane unless you wish to pay the total Australia Post Express Post charge).

Click & Collect: simply choose your store pick up location at checkout and we will arrange for your order to be there within 3 to 4 working days (1 working day for Milton warehouse) for free. Please wait until you receive an email or text to advise that your goods are ready to be collect.

International: Flat rate shipping from $15 for orders up to 2kg. We ship to NZ, USA, Canada, UK/Ireland, China, Europe (EU) and other countries. International orders are not subject to sales tax, so most prices are less 10% when purchased from overseas. The final cost of shipping is shown at checkout once you have added your delivery location.

Good straw

Good quality straw, no after taste, the lip on the end is weird so I use it upside down. My partner prefers to have the lip though. So I guess that its just personal preference.
