Founded in 2007 by Gosia Piatek, Kowtow is a conscious label with a strong design philosophy and innate sense of comfort. Described as minimalist and effortless, the Kowtow aesthetic is inspired by Gosia’s interests in art, architecture, culture, craftsmanship, landscapes and her own travels. The collections are entirely made with sustainably and ethically sourced materials. Engaged in a slow production chain, Kowtow's collections take 18 months from design to delivery. The garments are certified by non-profit, internationally recognised organisations. They support fair wages, no child labor, workers rights, gender equality & grower community. All cotton is certified by Fairtrade Labelling Organisations International (FLO) and they source local New Zealand mohair, alpaca fleece and wool from farmers who commit to the highest grade of animal welfare, environmental care and social responsibility. This includes commitment to no mulesing. All Kowtow garments are made at SA8000 accredited factories in India. Social Accountability Accreditation Services (SAAS) is an independent audit which ensures workers receive the following benefits: guaranteed minimum wage, social security fund, pension fund, paid holiday leave, sick pay, medical insurance, subsidised lunches, overtime pay, workplace unions and free transport to their workplace.

When a garment has reached the end of it’s life and can no longer be worn, mended, swapped, gifted, donated or upcycled, we recommend consulting your local council to find your nearest textile recycling scheme.

Shipping & Returns

We are shipping orders in 1 to 2 working days. Express orders placed by 1pm AEST are sent same day.

45 day returns: If you are not satisfied with a product that you ordered online (*exceptions below), you are welcome to return it to us within 45 days, unused, unworn, and in a pristine saleable condition with the original labels attached, packaging and we will refund your cost of goods. Items marked 'Final Sale' can not be returned unless faulty. *except skin and body care, makeup, food, underwear, earrings, and custom order items, which can not be returned for change of mind.

Standard: Once the order has shipped, it will arrive in 2 to 7 days depending on your destination.

Express: only for orders up to 4kg and excludes bulky/heavy items.

Click & Collect: choose your local store at checkout and your order to be there within 2 to 4 working days (1 working day for Milton warehouse). Please wait until you receive an email or text to advise that your goods are ready to be collect.

International: Flat rate shipping from $15 for orders up to 2kg. International orders are not subject to sales tax, so most prices are less 10% when purchased from overseas.
