the brand story:

ReCreate headquarters are based in New Zealand, and led by founding director Erica Gadsby, together with creative director Marielle Van de Ven. All garments are ethically made in their sewing centre in the disadvantaged community of Dey Tmey, Cambodia. Established in 2013, the centre provides fair employment for the sewing team, predominantly women, empowering them to protect their families, gain lifelong skill and embrace hope for a better future. They offer living wages, training, integrated child minding, holiday and sick pay plus more. Every year they aim to provide even more opportunities within the communities of Cambodia. ReCreate have established a partner sewing centre in Svay Pak, matching their ethical production while providing a fresh start at life to women exiting the sex trade. From sustainable fabric choices like organic or handwoven cottons to FSC certified swing tags, ReCreate have covered all the slow fashion bases.
