the brand story:

Cor was founded in East London by Australian artist/designer Jaz Hunt. Inspired by her home in Byron Bay, Cor emerged as a way to bring warmth and colour to the dark London winters. Cor presents an organic merging of art and modern design.

Fabrics are printed using water based reactive inks (certified by Oeko Tex Standard 100) and feature Jaz’s paintings inspired by travels and the natural world. All garments are proudly made using sustainable materials such as GOTS certified organic cotton, Lenzing Tencel and linen. Fabrics are sustainably printed.

who made my clothes?

Each garment is manufactured in Bali by ethical CMT SF Garment Factory, run by two Australian women Siobhan and Fionnuala. They share the inner workings of their factory on their beautiful instagram, @sf_garment_factory.

All employees of S and F manufacturing receive a fair wage (reviewed every three months), medical insurance for staff AND their families (paid for by S & F), the Balinese equivalent of superannuation, annual leave and sick leave. Working hours are Monday - Friday 9am-5pm, any overtime is paid at overtime rates. The factory is audited every 6 months by the Indonesian Government as well as inspections on their environmental impact and the pay and working conditions of their staff.

end of life:

When a garment has reached the end of it’s life and can no longer be worn, mended, swapped, gifted, donated or upcycled, we recommend consulting your local council to find your nearest textile recycling scheme. The cellulose used to produce Lenzing® fibres is a natural component in wood and produced within a closed loop, so at the end of its life cycle it can disintegrate and prepare the ground for new plants to grow.
