the brand story:

Born in 2006 in the small coastal town of Byron Bay, Australia, Afends was founded by Declan Wise and Jonathan Salfield off the back of a small screen printing business they originally created as 20-something year olds to print band merchandise for punk and hardcore bands.

2015 was the start of a new era for Afends. After nine years of designing, Deco & Jono began investigating ways of promoting sustainability to consumers as well as the surf and fashion industries where things had become less and less eco-friendly with the rapid growth of fast fashion and use of unsustainable materials. After some exploration and experimentation with the natural choice and all around miracle plant, Hemp, Afends created their first range of Hemp Clothing, and to this day continues to create, promote and expand the Hemp Revolution.

Afends is excited to announce that in January 2021, they’ll finally be releasing their very first 100% eco-friendly range, and are never going back.

Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified organic cotton is grown without the use of synthetic pesticides, insecticides, or herbicides and GMOs (Genetic Modified Organisms) according to the principles of organic agriculture. Organic agriculture is a production process that sustains the health of ecosystems, soils and people. Operators from post-harvest handling up to garment making must hold a valid certification in order for the final products to be labelled as GOTS certified.
Unisex clothing means less products with more capabilities.

Shipping & Returns

We are shipping orders in 1 to 2 working days. Express orders placed by 1pm AEST are sent same day.

45 day returns: If you are not satisfied with a product that you ordered online (*exceptions below), you are welcome to return it to us within 45 days, unused, unworn, and in a pristine saleable condition with the original labels attached, packaging and we will refund your cost of goods. Items marked 'Final Sale' can not be returned unless faulty. *except skin and body care, makeup, food, underwear, earrings, and custom order items, which can not be returned for change of mind.

Standard: Once the order has shipped, it will arrive in 2 to 7 days depending on your destination.

Express: only for orders up to 4kg and excludes bulky/heavy items.

Click & Collect: choose your local store at checkout and your order to be there within 2 to 4 working days (1 working day for Milton warehouse). Please wait until you receive an email or text to advise that your goods are ready to be collect.

International: Flat rate shipping from $15 for orders up to 2kg. International orders are not subject to sales tax, so most prices are less 10% when purchased from overseas.
