Brand story

In 2011, the Physic Garden founder Charelle was diagnosed with thyroid disease. Deciding to leave her stressful career, Charelle turned back to her roots and began to study naturopathy and herbal medicine.

Later on, working as a Naturopath, Charelle's customers would often ask her for vegan alternatives to common products like vapour rub or nappy cream, preferably with sustainable packaging and made in Australia.

Sensing a gap in the market, Charelle got to work, whipping up a range of balms and deodorants for sale at a local market. And so, in 2016, The Physic Garden was born.

    Soothing belly balm

I really love the texture and smell of this balm. I use it on my belly at night (not pregnant) as part of my evening ritual to calm and prepare for sleep.

    Would recommend and buy again

Smells absolutely divine and works. Tummy felt very moisturised and not greasy, absorbs into skin well. I would buy again.

Kept skin with stretch marks soft and supple

I have used half of the tin and been loving it. I would definitely recommend this as a gift for a new mum or expecting mum.

    A little oily

I know it has to be quite moisturising for it's claims, but I found it a little too greasy especially in this heat and was conscious to not get it on my clothes.
