Chestnut Brown is suitable for most colors except dark brown hair. On 50% grey hair it will give a blonde effect however it will not lighten but adds gold and gives an illusion of lighter hair. Always test a strand of hair first.

Applying colour on colour always makes more colour so the more you colour your hair the better coverage on your grey hair. Always shampoo, no conditioner before application. Apply to dry hair and sit in the sun or apply heat over plastic cap and towell with a dryer. Leave for at least one hour.

Ingredients:
Algin, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba Oil), Parfum (Fragrance), [+/-Lawsonia Inermis*, Cassia Auriculata, Ramnus Frangula, Juglans Regia, Indigofera Tinctoria, Indigofera Argentea, Hibiscus Sabdariffa, Rheum Undulatum, Krameria Triandra, Coffea Arabica, Curcuma Longa, Beta Vulgaris]

100g.

Healthy shine

I used to use henna years ago and was reluctant to go back to it now that I have a fair bit of 'silver'. It's messy and takes longer to 'cook' than many other products and takes a bit of getting used to. I think it's worth experimenting. Add some good rich conditioner when you're done (wash out thoroughly) and maybe a wee bit of Moroccan or Argan oil for even more shine. Even other semi-permanents I tried don't cover the grey any better nor does the colour last as long as they say (despite not washing my hair often). I used strong black tea instead of boiling water, put it on fairly warm and used a brush to part hair and lag it onto roots. Leave a couple hours (with an old shower cap on your head; maybe a warm towel too). I have medium length curly hair and only needed to use half a pack so very economical. Next time I might try coffee instead of tea or water and also may try mixing half and half with 080 natural brown for a richer colour.

Good except for grey roots

I liked the colour and softness of my hair after using this but the colour has not lasted on my greys for very long. Still looking for an animal-friendly hair colour that looks good for more than a couple of weeks.
