you are making a difference:

  • With proper care, this reusable product will last for many years, meaning substantially less waste ending up in landfill. More than 660 million disposable feminine products end up in landfill every year in Australia alone, plus the packaging associated with disposables. They take a considerable amount of time to biodegrade and can also end up in our waterways, oceans and beaches.
  • If during your period you use five disposable products a day for five days, this equates to 300 disposable pads or tampons a year and over 10,000 in your lifetime. In one year you will spend an average of AU$90, or AU$3,300 in a lifetime, on these disposable products. With proper care, JuJu will last many years and save you hundreds of dollars.
  • In your lifetime, you would normally use over 10,000 disposable products. By using JuJu, you will save these products from going into our landfills and polluting our waterways.
  • Australian owned company.

features:

  • Doesn't contain any harmful substances such as chlorine, fragrances or BPA.
  • Lovingly made by hand from soft organic cotton.
  • Fantastic eco-friendly alternative to disposable pads.
  • Waterproof PUL layer to prevent leaking.
  • Designed to comfortably sit close to the body without bunching up.
  • Suitable for cervical fluids and very light spotting.
  • 1 absorbent layer with a PUL cotton outer.
  • Price for 1 cloth pad. Image pictures front and back of pad.

care:

  • Before your period: Pre-wash your pad by hand or machine before using for the first time.
  • During your period: Pre-rinse your pad in cold water until the water runs clear or leave it to soak overnight. You can machine or hand wash your pad. Hand wash with detergent in warm water, or machine wash: Add to your next machine wash on a gentle, warm wash cycle. Hang your pad on the line, in the sun if possible.
  • After your period: Some staining is normal due the absorbent nature of the natural cotton fibers and should not be cause for concern. For heavy or stubborn stains, try rubbing bicarb soda with a little water on the stain. This can be done every couple of months or more frequently if you suffer from yeast infections. Wash your pad with a small amount of any of the following; white vinegar, apple cider vinegar, tea tree oil, or eucalyptus oil. Thoroughly rinse your pad and line dry.

Title : Love these!
Comment : Fantastic product. Very comfortable to wear (much more comfortable than disposables), and I like that it has the lace strap rather than larger wings. I also like Juju's range for plain fabric. Easy to wash, sometimes I will soak them pre-wash, but most of the time they just go straight in with the weekly wash. So be sure to have enough to last between loads.

Title : Back to non-disposables, but better!
Comment : These must be popular because they keep selling out! I finally got a few and have been very pleased. They're a little larger than disposable panty liners but smaller than a 'light' pad. Super soft. Clean up well. The button snap keeps them in place and I don't notice it when sitting or even riding a bike which was a good surprise. Used these with a menstrual cup for my first waste-free period and I'm never going back.
