the brand story:

Theo the Label is run by Esther Kirwan after initially launching with a business partner under another name (while still at university) through Kickstarter. Today, Esther uses sustainable fashion as a means for developing systems and processes to make clothing that is good for people, the planet and in her eyes, a greater purpose. Esther maintains close relationships with three families in Indonesia who produce Theo’s clothing from start to finish and allow her to pass a high level of transparency onto others wanting to shop their values. Esther works one on one with super skilled garment makers and sometimes they produce as little as 5 pieces for one style. Not 5 in each size, not 5 in each colour, a grand total of 5. Theo clothing is designed to be loved and to be worn to death so that it doesn't end up 'out of fashion' and in landfill after 2 wears. It's all natural so those pesky microfibre thingys don't end up in the ocean with the rest of the world's plastic.

sizing:

The measurements in these guides are of the ‘person’ wearing the garment and NOT of the garments themselves.

Chest: Place the measuring tape around your chest in a full circle, aiming for it to run 4-5 cm below your underarm (rather than right up into the fold!). The tape should run over the fullest part of your bust/chest.

Hip: Place the measuring tape around your hips in a full circle (ie. include your front and back). Ensure the tape is around the fullest part of your hips and bottom.

Neck: Place the measuring tape around the lower part of your neck in a full circle (ie. include your front and back).

Waist: Place the measuring tape around your waist in a full circle (ie. include your front and back). Ensure the tape is around the smallest part of your waist, commonly 1-2 cm above the belly button.

Gentle cold machine wash. Do not tumble dry. Do not dry clean. Warm iron.

end of life:

When a garment has reached the end of it’s life and can no longer be worn, mended, swapped, gifted, donated or upcycled, we recommend consulting your local council to find your nearest textile recycling scheme.

We are shipping orders in 1 to 2 working days. Express orders placed by 10am are sent same day. Please note that Australia Post is taking longer than normal to deliver, including express is not always next day. Thank you so much for supporting us.

45 day returns: If you are not satisfied with a product that you ordered online (*exceptions below), you are welcome to return it to us within 45 days, unused, unworn, and in a pristine saleable condition with the original labels attached, packaging and we will refund your cost of goods - you can either post back to us or return to one of our stores. Items marked 'Final Sale' can not be returned unless faulty.

*with the exception of skin and body care, makeup, food, underwear, earrings, and custom order items, which can not be returned for change of mind.

Standard: Normally our orders leave within 24 hours from Brisbane (Monday - Friday). Orders will arrive in 2 to 7 days depending on destination. Standard Australian shipping is free on orders over $75. Shipping for orders under $75 is $9.95, or $6.95 for delivery to SE Qld postcodes 4000-4299, 4500-4549.

Express: place orders by 10am. Orders generally arrive next day if you are in the Australia Post Next Day Delivery network and subject to Australia Post fulfilling its guarantee. Only available for orders up to 4kg (excludes bulky/heavy items such as Bokashi bins, cleaning products and large size items to areas outside Brisbane unless you wish to pay the total Australia Post Express Post charge).

Click & Collect: simply choose your store pick up location at checkout and we will arrange for your order to be there within 3 to 4 working days (1 working day for Milton warehouse) for free. Please wait until you receive an email or text to advise that your goods are ready to be collect.

International: Flat rate shipping from $15 for orders up to 2kg. We ship to NZ, USA, Canada, UK/Ireland, China, Europe (EU) and other countries. International orders are not subject to sales tax, so most prices are less 10% when purchased from overseas. The final cost of shipping is shown at checkout once you have added your delivery location.
