I love this - it doesn’t go soft and soggy in the shower, and while it doesn’t lather fully it does leave a lovely ‘easy glide coating’ for leg shaving. Smells good too!

I bought this soap in the travel tin for my husband and it smells so good that I also bought an extra one of these unpackaged refill soaps just to use at home. My bathroom smells absolutely lovely now.

Does not lather properly

I have been wet shaving for some years now, and I wanted an more eco friendly shave soap. Unfortunately I won't be buying this again. It really does not lather up properly at all. A proper shave soap should lather up until it's like whipped cream, you put it on your face and the lather will stay there for an hours. With this, you lather it up, put it on your face, and by the time you've grabbed your razor the lather is dissipating. The lather is simply unstable and will not maintain, and as such provides minimal lubrication and leads to a harsh shave. It even dehydrates and stings slightly if left on lips.

I strongly suspect this is just a normal soap that has been cut into a puck shape and is being sold as shaving soap. If you're a wet shaver, and used to proper shaving soap, do not buy this. Mine has become hand soap instead.

Natural and palm oil free

Natural and palm oil free shaving soap that smells amazing. It lathers up fine and helps to provide a smooth shave.

Shave Soap alternative

Takes a bit of getting used to not having the visibility or lather of shaving cream but despite this it did provide a sufficient lather to shave with. I would definitely buy over shaving cream for the overall result, for the ingredients it contains and having no packaging to dispose of.
