BEEKEEPER IS A SOCIAL BUSINESS HATCHED BETWEEN A BROTHER (KOKY) AND SISTER (SOPHIA) IN 2012 WHILE SOPHIA WAS IN HOSPITAL FIGHTING CERVICAL CANCER.

"It was with the heaviest of hearts that we experienced the loss of Sophia on the 15th of August 2012, after an 18 month battle. We still feel her absence with such acute rawness. In her will, she left her car to her brother Koky, with instructions to sell it and use the money to create a business that would inspire change and help support the continued work of BabyTree Projects, a charity they founded together to fight for children’s rights and to bring quality education to the doorsteps of children in rural Cambodia.
Since that time, Koky has dedicated his life to making sure that he keeps his promise to his sister. To this end Boy & Bee was born in 2012, and in 2014 we decided to change the name to BeeKeeper. And the Sophia Saly School was built in 2014, in a coastal village right near the sea. Koky recruited a team of talented individuals to help him grow the BeeKeeper hive. Big bee introductions must go to his merry band of keepers. Anthony Guardabascio (brand keeper), Lana Sadie Laham, Lachlan McIntosh, Theodore Buscemi, Laura Abela, V-ann Tan and Costa Theodorakopoulos."

Spot clean with warm water and mild (hopefully eco friendly) detergent. Air dry. Do not bleach, iron or dry clean.

end of life:

When an item has reached the end of it’s life and can no longer be worn, mended, swapped, gifted, donated or upcycled, we recommend consulting your local council to find your nearest textile recycling scheme.

Shipping

We are shipping orders in 1 to 2 working days. Express orders placed by 10am are sent same day. Please note that Australia Post is taking longer than normal to deliver, including express is not always next day. Thank you so much for supporting us.

45 day returns: If you are not satisfied with a product that you ordered online (*exceptions below), you are welcome to return it to us within 45 days, unused, unworn, and in a pristine saleable condition with the original labels attached, packaging and we will refund your cost of goods - you can either post back to us or return to one of our stores. Items marked 'Final Sale' can not be returned unless faulty.

*with the exception of skin and body care, makeup, food, underwear, earrings, and custom order items, which can not be returned for change of mind.

Standard: Normally our orders leave within 24 hours from Brisbane (Monday - Friday). Orders will arrive in 2 to 7 days depending on destination. Standard Australian shipping is free on orders over $75. Shipping for orders under $75 is $9.95, or $6.95 for delivery to SE Qld postcodes 4000-4299, 4500-4549.

Express: place orders by 10am. Orders generally arrive next day if you are in the Australia Post Next Day Delivery network and subject to Australia Post fulfilling its guarantee. Only available for orders up to 4kg (excludes bulky/heavy items such as Bokashi bins, cleaning products and large size items to areas outside Brisbane unless you wish to pay the total Australia Post Express Post charge).

Click & Collect: simply choose your store pick up location at checkout and we will arrange for your order to be there within 3 to 4 working days (1 working day for Milton warehouse) for free. Please wait until you receive an email or text to advise that your goods are ready to be collect.

International: Flat rate shipping from $15 for orders up to 2kg. We ship to NZ, USA, Canada, UK/Ireland, China, Europe (EU) and other countries. International orders are not subject to sales tax, so most prices are less 10% when purchased from overseas. The final cost of shipping is shown at checkout once you have added your delivery location.
