Oxygen bleach, or 100% Sodium Percarbonate, can be used in the washing machine, as a pre-soak, plus general household cleaning. It acts a disinfectant on most germs found around the home and is excellent for cleaning and removing organic stains from fabrics, plastics, fibreglass, porcelain, ceramics, wood, carpets, asphalt, concrete and more.

Oxygen bleach can be used for deodorising and stain removal and it won't leave any nasty by-products or residues and won't weaken fabrics like a chlorine bleach.

It is environmentally safe and biodegradable.

Note regarding viruses: the effectiveness depends on the hydrogen peroxide content of the solution you use and the contact time on the surface. We are not making an anti-viral claim.

Sodium percarbonate is an addition compound of hydrogen peroxide and sodium carbonate. Based on the molecular formula, the pure substance sodium percarbonate contains 32.5 % hydrogen peroxide and 67.5 % sodium carbonate (based on weight). https://www.heraproject.com/files/6-F-04-HERA%20percarbonate%20full%20web%20wd.pdf

The white crystalline sodium percarbonate powder needs to break down and dissolve in water to release hydrogen peroxide. Hot water is best to make this happen quickly and thoroughly.

How to use:

Only mix into a paste or spray solution immediately prior to using. Do not store, especially not in a sealed container.

The chemical reaction continues to release oxygen gas bubbles which can explode the container.

Once the sodium percarbonate converts into hydrogen peroxide and sodium carbonate, and the hydrogen peroxide is exposed to air, it starts to react to form water and oxygen (roughly 30 days).

I wish I could get this in a larger bottle because I use this all the time for laundry but google search has only brought up 1kg options.

Not what I was hoping for.

I like the idea of this product, but I'm not sure it can be called bleach. Obviously it's not a strong as the chemical ones, which is fine, but it's really really not as strong. I used quite a bit of it on the bathroom tile grout, and soaking some whites; and neither had great results. It's possible that I needed more product when trying to whiten my whites. I found it frustrating trying to dissolve the powder, and I didn't like the residue that was left on the tiles after I tried to clean the grout; I ended up having to scrub more with this product than other products. I will definitely try again and use more product, but it's unlikely that I would purchase another container. I hope that this product can be improved, because a natural bleach that works would be a wonderful thing!

Effective laundry soak

This seems to work very effectively as a laundry soak, including for vintage white linens. No off-putting fragrance either.

Great eco friendly product, might not last long

I have a bit of a backlog of stuff that needs to be treated for stains, so this might not last me very long. You need to put 1/2 cup dissolved in water for heavily stained items, less for lightly stained. I think I might run out of this quickly.
I was really amazed at the results I got from soaking a stained white item in here. Really good results.
