Founder and CEO of OmieLife Inc., Nancy Yen found inspiration to create the Omiebox through her son who never ate more than a few bites of lunch during his first year of preschool, unless it was his favourite hot foods. Searching high and low for a solution to hot and cold storage in one lunch box, she decided to take matters into her own hands so kids could eat better and healthier. Pairing up with product designer and creative director Robin Bigio, they researched, prototyped, launched a successful Kickstarter campaign, and started production. The Omiebox was born from real in-home lunch-packing testing where the team learned a lot about the painstaking efforts parents take to create healthy lunches for their kids that nourish their soul.

If you are not sure if your food choice is too liquidy to pack, we suggest that you conduct a quick test beforehand. Simply add the test food to a compartment, close OmieBox properly and give it a good shake (or leave it on its side for 10 min.) Set OmieBox back to normal position and open to see the results.

OmieBox has three sealed compartments that can hold up to 1 teaspoon of liquid each. Wet foods should go inside the thermos. Sub-sections created by using the divider are not leak-proof. The divider just meant to separate the peas from the carrots. If your OmieBox has this logo , the square compartment is not leak-proof. Some of the seals may be seen from the outside of the closed box, this is not a design fault.
