  • Tempered glass is five times stronger than normal glass - if broken it shatters into pebble pieces rather than shards, lasts longer and does not become fragile with use.
  • Microwave safe without lid (remove lid before microwave use).  Top rack dishwasher safe. Freezer safe.
  • Not oven safe. Do not use Glasslock containers in a conventional oven, toaster oven, under a griller, on a cooktop, under a flame or any other direct heat source.
  • Avoid severe and sudden temperature changes to avoid the rish of breaking.

Glass hazard- rims chip easily

I really wanted to love these, however, the rims chip really easily and we have found glass shards in the containers (luckily before we then filled them with food). We stack ours in the drawer as we don't have space to store them all in a single layer, but I feel like they should be robust enough to cope with this. This has been a recurring problem and a huge health hazard so I am sadly going to be replacing ours.

Using these is a domestic joy

Glasslock is seriously the best. Tough, good sized containers. Great to freeze leftovers in. Awesome to be able to see what's in each container, and to know you're safe from chemical leaching of plastics especially when reheating the containers in the microwave. Tip: if you run out of the little sized ones (super handy for snacks & leftover bits and pieces) - crack out an empty glass vegemite jar instead. Perfect snack storing size.

Great alternative to plastic lunch boxes

We gladly tossed our old plastic containers and replaced them with these. These are all practical sizes and the amount is well and truly enough for the 2 people in our household. Great that they are dishwasher safe which was surprisingly hard to find.

Only downfall is the little blue seals have come out a few times when ive taken the lids off and the lids are often difficult to latch.
