This Solar Jar is literally bottled sunshine, it harnesses solar energy to provide a lovely light that lasts for up to 6 hours. Safely housed in a beautiful consol 1L mason jar with a solar panel and LED light mechanism built into the lid.  This solar jar is very versatile - you can even create little features to illuminate inside the jar.

Safely housed in a beautiful 1L mason jar with a solar panel and LED light mechanism built into the lid.  The solid glass mason jar is robust and fitted with a wire handle for hanging. Use your solar jar for camping, outdoor entertainment, night-light, study-light, decor or as an emergency backup light source.

The Solar Jar is flame free so it’s ideal for outdoor functions and where it’s prohibited to use open flame candles and hence also child friendly. The LED lights are solar powered by rechargeable batteries (all you need to do is place under the sunlight as is or just the lid) with a unique on-off switch that is 100% waterproof.  Not only this switch is unique by its design but also adds a surprise factor to the setting.

To charge, leave your solar jar outside or in a sunny window in DIRECT sunlight for several hours to charge. 1 hour charge = 1 hour light.

Although it is made of clear glass, the colour of the light could be changed by simply inserting a coloured piece of cellophane or tissue paper under the lid and because the lights are LED, they never get hot and hence never burn the paper.

Standard: Normally our orders leave within 24 hours from Brisbane (Monday - Friday). Orders will arrive in 2 to 7 days depending on destination. Standard Australian shipping is free on orders over $75. Shipping for orders under $75 is $9.95, or $6.95 for delivery to SE Qld postcodes 4000-4299, 4500-4549.

Express: place orders by 10am. Orders generally arrive next day if you are in the Australia Post Next Day Delivery network and subject to Australia Post fulfilling its guarantee. Only available for orders up to 4kg (excludes bulky/heavy items such as Bokashi bins, cleaning products and large size items to areas outside Brisbane unless you wish to pay the total Australia Post Express Post charge).

Click & Collect: simply choose your store pick up location at checkout and we will arrange for your order to be there within 3 to 4 working days (1 working day for Milton warehouse) for free. Please wait until you receive an email or text to advise that your goods are ready to be collect.

International: Flat rate shipping from $15 for orders up to 2kg. We ship to NZ, USA, Canada, UK/Ireland, China, Europe (EU) and other countries. International orders are not subject to sales tax, so most prices are less 10% when purchased from overseas. The final cost of shipping is shown at checkout once you have added your delivery location.

Great little power saver!

My daughter likes to have some light in her room when she sleeps, so I bought this as an alternative to battery operated lights or using lamps. She loves it! It gives her plenty of light to make her comfortable, but no so much that it keeps her awake. She has stuck some paper hearts on the outside to make it 'pretty' and it gives a nice effect in her room. Very happy.

Lovely gift

I bought this for my aunty who is very conscious of her power usage. I put some flowers in the jar to make it more decorative and the effect was lovely. It was such a great little lamp I may buy myself one in the future.

Awesome bright sunlight

This makes a great gift for that someone who has everything. I bought this for my Dad and he loves it. The light is like sunlight and the jar look great when you put some decoration inside.
