Accelerator spray for use with any Bokashi composting buckt including the Urban Composter or Bokashi One bucket.  This compost accelerator contains cultures of EM-1 (effective microorganisms) that ferment food scraps allowing them to quickly break down once buried under soil.   500ml.

This compost accelerator contains cultures of EM-1 (effective microorganisms) that ferment food scraps allowing them to quickly break down once buried under soil.  The result is a rich and nutritious soil conditioner.

you are making a difference:

  • Return your food scraps to the earth to enrich the soil, reduce waste and reduce carbon emissions.
  • Packaged in recycled plastic.

how does it work:

  • Cut up your food scraps and throw them into the Urban Composter bokashi bucket.
  • Spray Compost Accelerator onto the scraps every time they are added (recommend 4-5 sprays evenly over scraps).  Bokashi mix can also be used if desired.
  • Push scraps down to compact the layers each time.
  • Ensure lid is sealed correctly all the way around as air contact may affect the fermentation process.
  • Drain the juice off every few days.  This can be diluted (1:100) with water and used as a fertiliser.  Alternatively this can be poured down the sink and acts as an organic drain cleaner. 
  • Ensure the bucket is left for at least 1-2 weeks after it is full to ensure all contents are fermented.  Ensure all juice is drained off.
  • Bury under soil or place on compost heap where it will break down in 4-8 weeks and can be planted into.
  • When emptied clean only with fresh water as this won't harm microbes inside composter.

Standard: Once the order has been shipped, it will arrive in 2 to 7 days depending on your destination. Standard Australian shipping is free on orders over $50. Shipping for orders under $50 is $9.95.

Express: place orders by noon AEST. Orders generally arrive next day if you are in the Australia Post Next Day Delivery network and subject to Australia Post fulfilling its guarantee. Only available for orders up to 4kg (excludes bulky/heavy items such as Bokashi bins, cleaning products and large size items to areas outside Brisbane unless you wish to pay the total Australia Post Express Post charge).

Click & Collect: simply choose your store pick up location at checkout and we will arrange for your order to be there within 3 to 4 working days (1 working day for Milton warehouse) for free. Please wait until you receive an email or text to advise that your goods are ready to be collect.

International: Flat rate shipping from $15 for orders up to 2kg. We ship to NZ, USA, Canada, UK/Ireland, China, Europe (EU) and other countries. International orders are not subject to sales tax, so most prices are less 10% when purchased from overseas. The final cost of shipping is shown at checkout once you have added your delivery location.

Does the trick

This stuff works really well in my Urban Composter and the contents always ferment really well. This stuff does smell but it dissipates quite quickly once you close the lid. The bottle lasts for ages as you only use around 5 sprays per layer.
