Great list to begin planning the new year. I am especially appreciative that you give links to more information and resources. The book list motivated me so much I am on the way to the library to see how many books I can order! I have reposted your article on Plastic Pause Fortnight a Facebook group focused on reducing plastic waste and offering solutions and alternatives to plastic. It can be found at https://www.facebook.com/BeautyFashion1501/videos/2188981231141238/ and all are welcome to join and participate! Time to educate the world as to the dangers of plastic and learn to change our plastic habits.

These are wonderful pledges to make!
I would add make a pledge to plant as many trees as possible – either in your own yard or through a landcare group or the like.
Add to that learning what it takes to grow trees from seed, cuttings or layering so that we can reduce the amount of plastic plant pots that also end up in landfill.
These pots and the plant labels are recyclable (and are usually made from recycled plastic) but, like the coffee pods, don’t tend to end up there
