Rose & Pink Clay Layered DIY Bath Salts

DIY skin care - Rose and pink clay DIY bath saltsThese layered bath salts with mineral rich, sustainably harvested Murray River salt flakes and Tasmanian sea salt, healing Australian pink clay, and the luxurious addition of rose petals and essential oils, will turn a simple soak in the tub into a rejuvenating and relaxing experience. Layering the ingredients gives this recipe something special, especially when gift giving. Ingredients: Method:
  1. Have your ingredients, a 440ml glass mason jar, and a wooden spoon ready to go in front of you.
  2. Start with adding all of the Murray River salt flakes to the bottom of the jar, followed by a layer of dried rose petals, Tasmanian sea salt, pink clay, then the citric acid.
  3. Finish with a sprinkle of dried rose petals and Murray River salt flakes on top.
  4. Add the essential oils on top and seal the jar.
How to Use: This recipe makes enough to fill one 440ml glass mason jar. Before use, give the bath salts a good thorough mix with a wooden utensil to ensure the ingredients are well combined. You might need to empty it into a glass bowl to do this. Don't a metal utensil or bowl as this will react with the clay. As the essential oils are added last, when you first open the jar to use, the scent will be quite strong. Once you give it a good mix, the scent will be much more gentle. To use, scoop about 1/4 cup into a warm bath and enjoy. If you are gift giving, you might like to pair the jar of layered bath salts with a wood scoop, like the one pictured.
