Our nourishing, moisturising and balancing pink clay and hemp seed oil face mask is ideal for those with dry and combination skin. Gentle pink clay works to absorb excess sebum and eliminate redness, while antioxidant rich hemp seed oil provides moisture, nourishment and balance. It is so incredibly easy to make your own pink clay face mask at home, and it doesn’t cost the earth! Find our recipe for our pink clay face mask with hemp seed oil below.

Pink clay is highly absorbing and cleansing. Using a pink clay face mask once a week works to absorb excess sebum, and keep skin balanced, smooth and healthy. Pink clay provides light exfoliation, and promotes the skin regeneration process. Plus, it helps to eliminate redness and irritation with troubled skin, and is gentle enough to use once a week.

Hemp seed oil is an excellent oil for dry and combination skin. It plumps tired, dry skin, and balances oily skin, is incredibly nourishing and rich in antioxidants.  Hemp seed oil is highly moisturising, yet absorbed quickly and non greasy. Because it is rich in omega fatty acids, it is particularly beneficial for those with acne, eczema, psoriasis, and inflammatory skin conditions.

    Ingredients

    Method

    1. Add the clays and hemp seed oil to a glass or ceramic bowl, and mix together using a non metallic utensil (metal will react with the clay). Mix until you have a smooth, thick paste. Add more oil if needed.
    2. Add the essential oils and mix again.
    3. Place the mixture into a 120ml glass mason jar and seal.

    How To Use

This pretty pink clay mask is ideal for those with dry and combination skin, as well as mature skin. It works to smooth skin, provide moisture, nourishment and absorb excess sebum.

Apply a generous layer to dry, clean skin, avoiding the eye area. Massage in a circular motion, applying a little extra pressure on oily areas. Leave on for 10-15 minutes, or until dry. Rinse off with warm water. Afterwards, apply a light natural moisturiser or rose facial mist if desired.

This recipe makes enough for approximately three applications. Use once per week.

Tip: For an excellent facial exfoliant, mix in 2 teaspoons of fine pumice powder.
