DIY Flower Garden Tea

Christmas is just around the corner, and when it comes to conscious gift giving what's better than making a gift yourself! So our latest DIY recipe is a beautiful batch of beneficial herbal tea. This recipe makes quite a bit (4 1/2 cups) so you can fill up multiple pretty jars and gift to family, friends, work colleagues or teachers. Our flower garden tea combines beautiful rose petals, lavender, chamomile and calendula, and works to relax, calm, boost immunity and improve digestion. Drink it before sleeping or when you are looking to take some time and settle you mind. DIY Flower Garden Tea | Biome Eco Stores

Make your own DIY flower garden tea

Ingredients

To serve:
  • 1 thin slice of lemon, halved
  • Honey to taste (optional)
You will also need sealed glass jars of your choice to store. The one pictured is from Vinnies. We have a range here >

Method

  1. Gently combine flowers in a large glass bowl.
  2. Grab your jars and pop equal amounts in each. Seal and label.

How to Use

Steep 1 teaspoon of tea per person in a teapot or tea infuser for 3-5 minutes before removing. Sweeten with honey and add a slice of lemon for extra zing. Tip: Get creative and combine flowers, herbs and spices of your choice. Slices of dried apple, ginger root, lemon or orange peel are a nice addition in this blend. Note: Keep tea in an airtight jar out of direct sunlight (in the pantry is ideal) to reserve its colour, flavour and therapeutic benefits. This DIY tea blend was inspired and adapted from Infuse: Herbal Teas to Cleanse, Nourish and Heal by Paula Grainger & Karen Sullivan. You can find this book here >
