Activated Charcoal DIY Body Scrub Our activated charcoal DIY body scrub uses pure and simple ingredients that work to deeply cleanse, exfoliate and detoxify the skin without any nasties! It is a sugar based scrub that uses our very own bamboo charcoal and bentonite clay, two powerful ingredients known to adsorb accumulated impurities before washing them from the body. While the olive oil will ensure your skin is left feeling soft, hydrated and protected. Use this DIY body scrub in the shower 2-3 times a week to clear away dead skin cells and help to unblock congested pores. This body scrub is ideal for all skin types, particularly acne prone or problematic skin. Your skin will love the deep cleansing and exfoliating action that leaves your skin feeling smooth and glowing, and you'll love the fact that you'll know exactly what you're putting on your skin - no parabens, paraffins, mineral oils, silicon or artificial colours and fragrances. Ingredients: Method:
  1. Add the sugar, olive oil, activated charcoal and bentonite clay and essential oils into a glass bowl (when working with clay it is important not to use a metallic bowl or utensils)
  2. Mix with a wooden spoon until well combined
  3. Place into a 240ml glass jar and seal.
How to Use: Use in the shower 2-3 times a week. Massage a handful into your whole body, avoiding the face, concentrating on the areas that need a good exfoliation (e.g. your heels, elbows, legs, etc.). Rinse off with warm water using a soft wash cloth if desired. Note: this scrub is messy! Ensure you rinse away any excess charcoal from your shower after use.
