Unlike most non-stick cookware made with PTFE and other harmful toxins, Ecolon is not harmful to the environment or humans because it is made from silica as found in sand and rocks.
Low energy production. For Teflon and similar coatings, extremely high temperatures are required. With Ecolon, the coating is sprayed on using air pressure and the products are baked in a low temperature kiln.
PFOA is not used during production and thus does not off-gas from the cookware. Additionally, CO2 emission is reduced in the manufacturing process compared to PTFE.

10/20/2011 Anastasia C.	luv Neoflam ^^	I am living in Korea at the moment and I was just thrilled to find out that Korean Neoflam pans are sold in Australia! Even though I'm not Korean myself, I kind of feel proud for that they have such a great alternative to teflon-coated fry pans. I ordered Neoflam set of pans locally in Korea and I really love them. I would say the surface is seriously non-stick, food is almost sliding on non-stick surface as though it's on an ice rink. The colours are pretty too. So it is like all I could ever ask for - appealing design, easy to cook and wash, and does not release toxins into the food. Cast iron is another alternative but not everyone can afford a set of cast iron cookware right away. I'd get some cast iron ware for baking.
