Toowong mother and eco-friendly Biome business founder Tracey Bailey is showing the big retail chains what it really means to be green.
Recently opening her latest Biome Livings shop in Brisbane's CBD, she prides herself on its recycled tyre floor, gas ceiling lights and sustainable products on its shelves. With Biome Paddington having already made its mark, the new shop offers "green" products including hemp bed linen, green cleaning products, cloth nappies, natural baby supplies, bamboo homewares and recycled gifts.
"Its exciting to be shaking up the retail world and showing you can build a viable business that is ethical, socially responsible and genuinely gentle on the planet," Ms Bailey said.
