How to Make Your Own Toilet Cleaner

Cleaning the toilet certainly isn't the most exciting job in the world, but these DIY natural toilet cleaning bombs make it just that little bit easier and saves you from resorting to harsh bleach and chemicals.

Combining the cleansing power of bi-carb and citric acid (essential for the fizz), and a select blend of pure essential oils known for their disinfecting, antiseptic, and deodorising properties, these toilet cleaning bombs are super easy to make, smell amazing, and work really well - naturally!

Simply drop one in the bowl, wait for the fizzing to stop (this reaction is what helps to clean the bowl), and flush once done. For stubborn stains, you may have to use your toilet brush too.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Place all of the ingredients into a glass bowl. Using your hands, mix together. Spritz with water, and continue to mix until the mixture resembles the consistency of damp sand, which holds together when squeezed. Be careful not to overdo spritzing the mixture with water, or it may start fizzing and crumble.
  2. Pack the mixture into 4 moulds, or hand roll into 4 equally sized round balls.
  3. If you are using a mould, leave the mixture overnight and unmould the following day. Leave to dry further for 2 days.
  4. Store in a sealed glass jar until ready to use.
