DIY Shea & Coconut Sugar Body Scrub

Our Shea & Coconut Sugar Body Scrub with its mineral-rich, finely ground pumice, coconut and shea butter will gently buff away dead skin cells and restore moisture to dry skin. Pumice is a type of volcanic rock that is high in naturally occurring minerals, such as magnesium, iron, silica and oxygen. Ground pumice provides a gentle exfoliation and is suitable to be used on your face and rest of your body. Coconut is naturally rich in vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and Vitamin C as well as essential minerals of Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium and Zinc. In this recipe we use it in three forms - coconut sugar, coconut flesh, and coconut oil.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Add in the coconut oil and shea butter and mix and mash until you've reached the consistency of cookie dough. Add more coconut oil for a creamier consistency if preferred.
  3. Store in a 120ml glass mason jar.

How To Use

This is a great body scrub to use in the shower. Apply a small handful to damp skin. Massage in circular motions all over the body, concentrating on problem areas. Splash your body with water in the shower and rub a handful of scrub all over your body concentrating in particular on areas with uneven skin tone. Rinse off with warm water. For best results, use this scrub every 2 weeks. Keep from sunlight. Use within 3 months. This recipe makes enough to approx. fill a 120ml glass mason jar or for 2 applications.
